Sheesh, the Saskatchewan Roughriders completely obliterated the Edmonton Eskimos yesterday. It was the Eskimos worst defeat in eight years and it put the Riders into sole possession of second place. The Riders scored every way imaginable and obviously tried to prove that they should have beaten the Eskies in week four. The gory details:
- The story.
- The stats.
- Behind the dismantling.
- Eskimos lose brain function.
- Dream debut for Mitchell.
- Stay steady now Rider Priders.
- The even embarrassed their families.
- Ebell’s ugly day.
- Look out, Danny Maciocia’s not happy.
- Rahim Abdullah can give a quote: “It was a molestation. What are those little bitty dogs called? It was like a Shih Tzu fighting a Bullmastif.”

MVP
Kyle Mitchell - DE (Sask): Incredible season debut by Mitchell. Blocked punt for a TD, interception and a tackle. Absolutely huge and the TD was the game’s turning point. Kerry Joseph obviously gets honourable mention, with two TD passes and two Td plunges. And a shout out to Sean Lucas, who had five tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble.

The Edmonton O-line: Like Hamilton, The Eskies were beaten in every phase so this “award” could go to the entire team but the Eskies o-line was especially brutal. Four QB sacks including one that led directly to a TD. The double E ran for 29 big yards and Ricky Ray spent plenty of time on his ass. Honourable mention the Ray who threw three picks.
