Let’s be serious for a second. You mean to tell us that the B.C. Lions have won three straight games with their second and primarily their third string QB’s. If Calgary couldn’t beat B.C. yesterday they are in some trouble. They got destroyed by both Saskatchewan and Toronto and now lost to a beatable B.C. team. They only beat the win-less Ti-Cats and the Mike McMahon-led Argos. Oh and the Leos have some depth. Deets:
- Da story.
- Da stats.
- Calgary’s much-hyped receivers backed it up in a big way.
- Stamps get more yards but yards aren’t points.
- More on that depth we mentioned.
- Some injury problems for B.C.
- No Pierce, no problem.
- Wake’s up.
- Burris to blame says fuming Francis.
- Hank’s hiccup.
- Burris takes blame - “I didn’t do a good job of taking care of the ball and that’s why we lost.”

MVP
Cameron Wake – DE (B.C.): The rookie lineman had two sacks. five tackles, a forced fumble and a blocked field goal. He’s the early favourite for the CFL’s Most Outstanding Rookie. BTW, Joe Smith was awesome too.
Henry Burris – QB (Cal): Eric Francis certainly thinks so and it’s hard to disagree with him. Hank threw for 423 yards (Wow), two TD’s and rushed for another but tossed two INT’s including one that really hurt his team and coughed up the ball twice. Four turnovers cancel out three touchdowns every time.
