The Art Schlichter Report is our weekly look at the CFL betting lines and our picks. In the spirit of Mr. Art Schlichter our picks will probably be unreliable. BTW, Schlichter seems to be turning things around. Last weeks picks are here. Line in bold favourite in italics.
Thursday
Winnipeg at Montreal -3.0
RFTW – Montreal. We think this year’s Als are not your older brother’s Als but we can’t shake the stinker the Bombers put together at home last week. Stegall will also be held of the sheet.
Hamilton at B.C. -16.0
RFTW – Hamilton. The Lions aren’t gonna beat the Cats by 16 with two ailing QB’s. Pierce will start and is banged up. B.C. did virtually nothing on offence last week – it was all defence. The Cats showed some life and should be hungry for a win. This is a trap game for the Lions.
Friday
Saskatchewan at Edmonton -3.0
RFTW – Edmonton. We aren’t convinced the Esks are any good but we’re less convinced the Riders have sorted out their offensive woes in a week.
Saturday
Toronto at Calgary -3.0
RFTW – Calgary. The desperation factor coupled with the CFL starting debut of Mike McMahon makes the Stamps a likely winner. But if Henry Burris struggles again – all bets are off.
Last Week: 2-2
Season Score: 5-7
DISCLAIMER- RFTW does not encourage gambling but it does make everything more interesting.
