The Lions sent the tape of this hit to the league complaining that it was illegal. Watch it and judge for yourself. I think Fred Perry is one of the elite defensive players in the league and was making an aggressive play. Did he lead with his helmet – ya because it’s on his effin head. Was it dirty? In my opinion, no. Danny Mac was announcing the game and said it was “very close” to illegal. There wasn’t a penalty on the play but the CFL wants to protect its mostly mediocre quarterbacks the best they can, so who knows.
Sidebar: DD is easily concussed. I wonder if DD gets concussions from the water hitting him on the head in the shower?
