The Alouettes flew into the win column with their triumph over the still win less Hamilton Tiger Cats. Anthony Calvillo was stellar and the Als defence slapped down a few wicked hits. When will Hamilton win – we say week six at home versus the Bombers and if not then probably Labour Day. If they don’t win until September their record will be 0-8. The deets:
- Game story.
- Stats.
- Down 20-0, Hamilton made a game of it – take that Riders.
- First JJ Barnagel – now it’s J.T. Maachang.
- Encouraged by loss?
- AC for 50 G’s.
- Ben Cahoon is getting a lot of balls thrown at him.
- Als cut John Grace.
- Ya, Hamilton’s got B.C. right where they want ‘em.
The Hardware
MVP
Anthony Calvillo – QB (Mon): This one’s easy 27 of 37 for 310 yards and three TD’s. Oh and he broke 50,000 yards for his career.
LVP
Corey Holmes – RB (Ham): Not based on performance. Holmes is not the Least Valuable Player on the Ti-Cats he’s the Least Valued Player. Memo to OC Mike Working: this guy was outstanding for the Saskatchewan Roughriders – get him the ball and give him space. Holmes had a great 34 yard kickoff return but only saw he ball twice handed off to him and twice passed to him, for a total of 31 yards. And if they don’t give him the ball, they don’t deserve to score.

Corey Holmes was once RFTW’s knight in shining armor after an unfortunate hat touching incident.
