The Ti-Cats have sent QB Shaun King to the gallows. The former NFL pivot was unimpressive in his debut with the team. Shaun, 4 of 12 for 29 big yards and a INT is not gonna cut it. Brad Banks must not like hearing this – his 1 for 7 four 4 yards and 2 INT’s is by comparison, smellier. Rookie QB Timmy Chang was solid and his play probably made it easier for the Cats to bounce King. The team also released five other players – most notably DE DeVonte Peterson. The three-year vet had three sacks last year.
In related Ti-Cats news, the team is reportedly interested in recent New Orleans Saints cut Peter Dyakowski. The 6′4 and 306 pound o-lineman was the 11th player taken in the 2006 CFL draft. Apparently Dyakowski is “keen to join the Cats”. The Vancouver product must love the jungle cats – he’s a former LSU Tiger.
