Today the Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Joe Barnes – about 23 years too late. Barnes teamed up with John Hufnagel to form the J. J. Barnagel. He was was traded by the green and white after the 1981 season. In 1983 he won a Grey Cup with the Argos and was named MVP. Hoping to atone for the past managerial mistake, GM Eric Tillman quickly snapped up the 55 year-old Texan.
